Show of Tauquir’s Bengali film ‘Sfulingo’ begins in NY today

Bioskope Films LLC, a film development and distribution related organization arranged a press conference on the release of ‘Sfulingo’, a Bengali film, directed by Tauquir Ahmed, at a restaurant in Jamaica of New York in the evening of Thursday, March 17, 2022. Bioskope Founder & CEO Raj Hameed said, the step was taken to release the film for
cinema lovers in the United States. ‘Sfulingo’ will be shown in 23 cities of USA and at the initial stage the show will begin in five cities. The inaugural show will begin at Jamaica Multiplex Cinemas in Queens, NY on Friday, March 18, at 12:50pm, Raj Hameed added. The film ‘Sfulingo’ is starred by Pori Moni, Shamol Mawla, Rawnak Hasan, Zakia Bari Momo and others which was earlier liked by the viewers very much.
Shopner Bangladesh Foundation produced the film. Tauquir Ahmed is an architect, actor turned director who worked both for television and cinema. He won many awards including Bangladesh National Film Awards for his films ‘Joyjatra’ & ‘Oggatonama’. ‘Sfulingo’ was previously released in 35 Bangladeshi cinema halls in March of 2021. Tauquir Ahmed and Bipasha Hayat, a large number of journalists and executives of some other film distribution related organizations were present in the Jamaica program of Bioskope Films. Tauquir stressed on producing quality Bengali films which was applauded by all at the press conference.
